  • This information is presented in conjunction with Dr. Phillips. Surgical technique, medication and anesthesia regimens are based on his experience with the UroLift System. Medical practice is solely the responsibility of the treating physician, and not Dr. Phillips or NeoTract, Inc.
  • The steps in this protocol are presented in the sequence performed by Dr. Phillips as of 2019:
     
    • Oral Sedation (when deemed necessary - at home prior to departure to office)
      • Norco and Ativan, dosage depends on the patient’s health and age
    • Local Anesthesia
      • Room temperature, Lidocaine gel 2%, 10 - 20 ml, instilled into the urethra via syringe
      • Clamp penis and allow clamp to remain in place during pudendal block
